Vegetarian or pescatarian leaves other dishes out of recipes, suggestions and Plan my week. Worked out from the ingredient names, so check labels.
This app is in beta. Tell me what's confusing, broken or missing.
Dishes containing anything ticked get a ⚠️ in every list, and a warning when you add them. Worked out from the ingredient names, so it's a guide only: always check the actual ingredients and labels, as brands and recipes vary.
Turn on just the figures you want. They show on recipes, on the recipe buttons (calories) and as a daily total in Plan my week. They're estimates worked out from typical UK values for the ingredients; brands and portion sizes vary. Salt doesn't include salt you add to taste. % of daily is of an adult's reference intake (2,000 kcal, 70g fat, 90g sugars, 6g salt, 50g protein, 260g carbs); children and many adults need different amounts.
Prices: show or hide the price table, recipe costs and shop history totals. Store logo: the logo at the top of shopping list pictures. Picture text: Small fits more on one picture; Large is easy to read on a phone; Extra large is bigger still. Used for the shopping list, favourite and recipe pictures, saved pictures, PDFs and emails.
Use ▲ ▼ to move a card. Hiding a card also hides its home tile (Meals hides Recipes). Hidden cards still show up in search. Saved to your account, so it's the same on all your devices.
These tiles don't have a card of their own, so switch them here.
Help & FAQ
Why is my shopping list empty?
If the app was shared with you, you get your own private list, usual items, favourites and history, so it starts empty. Nobody else can see your lists, including the app's owner, and you can't see theirs.
How do I add things?
Type it in the 🔍 search box and tap “Add …” (or tap a matching item it finds). You can add an amount or type after a dash, for example “Milk – 2 pints” or “Choc bar – Twix”. Tap “+” next to Usual items to add things you buy every week, then add them to the list with one tap.
How do I find something quickly?
Type in the 🔍 search box near the top. It finds meals, salads, desserts, cocktails, favourites and items as you type. Tap a meal or cocktail to open its recipe, an item to add it to your list, or something already on your list to jump to it.
How do I add a recipe's ingredients?
Open Meals, Sides & salads, Desserts or Cocktails & mocktails and tap the name: all its ingredients go on your list, marked “for” that meal. Tap it again to take them off. Tap 📖 (or the small photo) to open the recipe, amounts and the big photo. The 📖 stays highlighted while the recipe is open; tap it again, or ✕, to close it and go back to where you were.
How do I mark dishes we love?
Open any dish (📖) and tap ♡ Love it. It gets a ❤️, comes first in its list, shows under 📖 Add a meal → ❤️ Favourites, and the ❤️ Loved filter shows just those. Tap ❤️ Loved again to remove it. Your loved dishes are your own; other people using the app keep their own.
What is "What can I make?"
Tap 🥕 What can I make? on the start screen. Tick the main things you've got (it pre-ticks what you bought this week and anything marked 🏠 have at home; oils, spices, stock and jars are assumed). It then shows meals you can cook now, and ones needing just 1 or 2 things, with a button to add just those to your list. Herbs, lemons, chillies and wine count as optional. It skips anything in your allergy settings.
Can a salad be a main meal?
Yes. Open a salad's recipe in Sides & salads and use 🍽️ Make it a main: pick chicken, halloumi, prawns, salmon, eggs or chickpeas to see the amount, how to cook it and the calories and protein per person. Then tap 🛒 Add to put the salad and the protein on your list, marked for example "for Greek salad + chicken". The pills at the top of Sides & salads (Salads, Potatoes & rice, Breads, Vegetable sides, Dips) narrow the list.
How does Plan my week work?
Tap 🪄 Plan my week for me and every empty day gets a dinner: it mixes cuisines and main ingredients, puts loved dishes first, uses quicker meals Monday to Thursday (⚡ Quick on weeknights), avoids dinners you've had in the last two weeks and skips anything in your allergy settings. Under 📌 Regular nights you can give a day a theme, like Fish on Friday, Roast on Sunday or Eating out, and the planner picks to match. Tap 🔄 on a day to swap it, or + to choose yourself from the full-screen picker, which moves on to the next empty day after each pick. You can also plan from any recipe with 📅 Plan. 🔒 Every meal in the plan has a lock: Plan my week and Re-plan keep locked meals and change only the rest. Meals you pick yourself lock automatically; tap the lock to change your mind. 📤 Share on any recipe sends it to WhatsApp, Messenger and more (as a picture or text). 📤 Share the week (under the plan) makes a menu picture of the week's dinners to send or print, or copies it as text for WhatsApp. Then tap 🛒 Add to shopping list to put the whole week's ingredients on your shopping list.
How do allergy warnings work?
Every dish shows a ⚠️ May contain line (on every recipe card) for the 14 allergens UK labels must list, worked out from the ingredient names. In Settings, tick anything your household avoids (shellfish, nuts, pork, alcohol and so on): those dishes get a ⚠️ in every list, and adding one shows a warning that stays until you tap OK. Tick “Hide dishes that contain these” to leave them out altogether. It's a guide only: brands and recipes vary, so always check the actual ingredients and labels.
What is Make it lighter?
Meals over 500 kcal (or high in salt or fat) show a 💚 Make it lighter box on the recipe card, with up to three simple swaps based on what's in the recipe, such as less rice, half the cheese or reduced-salt stock. They're suggestions; the nutrition figures shown are still for the recipe as written.
How does Eat healthy work?
🫀 Heart-friendly shows meals with about 5 g saturated fat or less a portion and 2 g salt or less (saturated fat is the main thing in food that raises cholesterol; it's estimated from where each recipe's fat comes from, such as butter, cheese, cream or fatty meat). 🩸 Steady blood sugar shows meals with 45 g carbohydrate or less, little sugar and a sensible portion. Both are estimates and not medical advice: if you have a condition such as diabetes or take medication, follow your GP or dietitian. 📉 Lose weight shows main meals of 500 kcal or less with 1.5 g salt or less, lowest calories first, roughly in line with NHS advice of about 600 kcal for a main meal once you add a salad or veg. Eat healthy and the 💚 Lighter and 💪 High protein filters use each meal’s nutrition estimate for one portion of the main dish. Lighter means under 600 kcal with no more than 25 g fat, 2 g salt and 15 g sugar. High protein means 40 g or more of protein and under 650 kcal. Sides like rice and naan are not counted, and the figures are estimates, so treat them as a guide.
What is the start screen?
The tiles at the top of Shopping take you straight to what you want to do. Make a meal opens a quick helper: pick how long you have, anything to suit and a cuisine, then Show meals opens Meals already filtered. When you scroll down, the ⌂ Home button brings you back to the top.
How do search and "Goes well with" work?
Type in the search box at the top of Meals or Sides & salads to find recipes by name or by an ingredient, for example "salmon" or "chickpeas". Open any meal recipe to see sides that go well with it; tap one to add its ingredients to your list, or Add all.
What do 🌱 🌶️ 🧒 mean?
They mark a recipe as Vegetarian, Spicy or Kid-friendly. On Meals and Sides & salads, tap the Show: buttons to see only those recipes; tick more than one to narrow it further. Change the tags with the tick boxes in its editor. Tags are a guide – check labels if you need to be sure, for example that cheese is vegetarian.
How do regions work?
On Meals, the Region menu lets you split every meal under headings like British, Italian, Spanish or Indian, show one region only, or go back to a plain A–Z list. Set or change a meal's region in its editor.
What are the ⚡ quick buttons and Sort?
On Meals and Sides & salads, Sort puts recipes in A–Z order, or by overall time (prep plus cooking) or prep time, shortest first, with the time shown beside each name; recipes with no time saved go last. On Meals, ⚡ 30 min or less shows only recipes that take 30 minutes or less in total, including prep. On Sides & salads, ⚡ Lightning shows the ones that take 15 minutes or less. The time appears next to the recipe's name when you open it. If you are the owner you can set a recipe's time in its edit form.
Can I see calories and nutrition?
Yes. In ⚙️ Settings, under Nutrition, turn on the figures you want: calories, protein, carbs, sugars, fat and salt each have their own switch, and Include drinks adds them for cocktails and mocktails too. They show on each recipe (per serving), calories show on the recipe buttons, and Plan my week shows a rough calorie total per day. They are estimates worked out from typical UK values for the ingredients and amounts in each recipe, so brands, portion sizes and how much oil you use will change the real figure. Salt does not include salt you add to taste. Everything is off unless you turn it on.
What is in-store mode?
Tap 🛒 In-store mode on the shopping list when you get to the shop. It goes full screen and shows one aisle at a time in big text. Tap an item as it goes in the trolley; when an aisle is done it moves on to the next one by itself. The strip at the top shows every aisle and how many things are left in each, and you can tap one to jump there. At the end you see how many items, how long it took and roughly what it cost; tap Paid to move everything to Bought and save it to Shop history.
What is cooking mode?
Open a recipe and tap 👩🍳 Start cooking (🍸 Make it step by step for drinks). It goes full screen: first the ingredients to tick off as you get them out, then one step at a time in big text. Tap Next or swipe. Where a step mentions a time, tap ⏱ to start a timer; it keeps running while you move between steps and beeps and vibrates when it's done. The screen stays on while you cook, where your phone allows it.
What do the tick boxes and 🏠 do?
Tap a box when you've got the item: it stays where it is, crossed out. Tap again to put it back on the list. “Hide bought” tidies crossed-out items away. In-store mode works the same way, and everything in your trolley counts as bought when you close it. Tap 🏠 if you already have something at home: it stays on the list but isn't counted or priced.
How do I remove something from my usual items?
Tap − next to Usual items, then × beside the item, and tap again to confirm. Tap Done when you're finished. It stays on the master list, so you can add it back later.
How do I change an item or its aisle?
Tap the item's name on the shopping list to change the wording or set its aisle. Sort the list by aisle to shop in order round the store. Aisles you set only change your own list.
What is the shopping note?
A place for anything that isn't an item, like “check the offer on Baileys” or “birthday card for Sunday”. It saves as you type and is private to you. When it's closed, the first line shows under its title.
What are favourite shops?
A saved list you buy often, like “Big weekly shop”. Open the shopping list and tap “☆ Save list as favourite”. Later, tap the favourite to add everything in it at once, or 📷 to see it as a picture.
What is Shop history?
Each day you buy things, they're recorded in Shop history. Open a day to see what you bought and add it all back to your list.
How accurate are the prices?
They're estimates from Morrisons UK online prices (October 2026), not Gibraltar prices, and aren't updated automatically. Use them as a rough guide. You can hide prices in Settings.
How do I get the list as a picture or PDF?
Tap 🖼️ View picture on the shopping list. Tick “Include the recipes under the list” if you want them on it (off by default, so the picture stays short). From there you can Save as picture (for your gallery), Save as PDF (one long page that's easy to scroll) or Email picture. Tap the picture to see it full screen and zoom in.
Why does it ask every time I save?
Your phone and the Claude app ask before any page saves a file, so nothing can be saved without you agreeing. The app can't switch that off. When it's done you'll see “✓ Picture saved” or “✓ PDF saved”.
Which picture text size should I choose?
In Settings: Small fits the most on one picture (two columns, zoom to read); Large is easy to read on a phone; Extra large is bigger still but makes a longer picture.
Why can't I edit recipes or add photos?
Recipes, cocktails, photos and prices are kept by the app's owner, so they stay the same for everyone. You can still add any recipe's ingredients to your own list.
Where are dark mode and colours?
In Settings at the bottom of the page: Mode (light, dark or automatic), Colour and Background. These are saved on your own phone.

What this app is
A personal shopping helper for making lists, planning meals and drinks, and estimating costs. It is provided free and informally by its owner. It is not a shop, and you cannot buy anything through it.
Not connected with any shop
This app is not made by, connected with, sponsored or endorsed by Morrisons (Wm Morrison Supermarkets Limited) or any other retailer or brand. Shop and product names, and the Morrisons logo, belong to their owners. They are used only to describe where items can be bought. The logo can be turned off in Settings.
Prices are estimates only
Prices come from Morrisons UK online prices checked in October 2026, at normal shelf price, and are not updated automatically. Prices, offers, pack sizes and products in Gibraltar and elsewhere differ and change often. Totals and "cost per person" figures are rough guides, not quotes. Always check the price in the shop.
Products, allergens and food safety
Ingredient names are general and may not match a specific product. This app does not give allergen, nutrition or dietary information. Always read the product label, especially if you or anyone you are cooking for has an allergy or intolerance. Recipes are for general guidance: follow safe food handling, cook food thoroughly and keep to use-by dates.
Alcohol
Cocktails containing alcohol are only for adults of legal drinking age where you live (18 in Gibraltar and the UK). Please drink responsibly and know your limits. Never drink and drive. Avoid alcohol if you are pregnant, taking medication that interacts with it, or have been advised not to drink. Do not set drinks alight. Mocktails are listed for anyone who prefers no alcohol.
Aisles and photos
Aisle numbers are personal notes and may be wrong if the shop is rearranged. Recipe and drink photos are chosen and added by the app's owner only. Some are illustrations, and they show how a dish or drink can look; yours may differ.
Your data and privacy
Rocket Shop is a free beta run by its owner (contact: vilandes@gmail.com), who is responsible for your data.
What is kept: your name and email address from Google sign-in, and what you put in the app: shopping list, notes, usual items, favourites, shop history and your own prices and aisles. Settings such as text size stay on your phone only.
Why: only to run the app for you, keep your lists private and let you open them on any phone. Nothing is sold, shared, used for adverts or tracked.
Where: stored by Google Firebase in the EU, under Google's data processing terms. Google sign-in never gives the app your password.
Who can see it: other users can't see your lists. The owner can technically see stored data, but will only look if you ask for help or to fix a fault.
Shared lists: if you share your shopping list or join someone else's, everyone in that shared list can see and change its items and sees your name. Leaving or stopping the share takes you back to a private list.
Shop locations: if you're signed in with Google and change where an item is in the shop, the item name, the aisle you chose and your account ID are sent to the app owner as a suggestion. The owner decides whether to add it to the shared shop map; your own list uses your choice straight away.
Please don't put medical details (for example allergies or conditions) in notes.
Your rights: you can ask to see, correct or delete your data. Use Delete my account in Settings to remove everything at once, or email the address above. If you're unhappy with how your data is handled you can complain to the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority.
Recipes, cocktails, photos and prices are the owner's and are the same for everyone. Saved pictures and PDFs go to your own device.
